At various times throughout the year SEDS must flex its delivery network to meet increased demand, including nearly doubling its normal volume during the November and December holiday season. To help enable SEDS to continue to provide best-in-class value to customers while offsetting some of the additional expenses incurred during significant volume surges, SEDS will begin implementing Peak Surcharges in 2017.
Ensure Delivery During the Holiday Season and Christmas
To help you get an early start on Cyber Week shipping, we are offering pickup and delivery service in all areas on Friday, November 24. From November 20 through December 30 a limited number of GSE® Ground and GSE® Standard packages with transit times of three or more days, and with specific origins and destinations, will require an additional day in transit.
All GSE 2nd Day Air® and GSE 3 Day Select® packages shipped on December 18 and 19 will require an additional day in transit. GSE 3 Day Select packages shipped on December 19 will be scheduled for delivery on December 26.
The most up-to-date transit time details will be available at http://globalspeedexpress.com at the time of shipping. Note the following last days to ship to ensure delivery before Christmas Day:
- GSE 3 Day Select: Monday, December 18 (delivery on Friday, December 22)
- GSE 2nd Day Air: Wednesday, December 20 (delivery on Friday, December 22)
- GSE Next Day Air®: Thursday, December 21 (delivery on Friday, December 22)
